SWIFTS
The Swifts Pre-Academy training programme is here for players of all ages and abilities to help you take your game to the next level during the summer months.
Our highly qualified and knowledgeable coaching team will support you to build confidence with your football, leadership and teamwork skills, through a series of carefully designed training activities.
We take an age appropriate, holistic approach to training, aiming to create a safe, challenging and enjoyable football environment for you to get the most out of your time with us.

TRAINING TIMETABLE
There are two training sessions per week for each age group. Players can register for one or both training sessions.
Age group is determined by the grade you will be in for the upcoming winter season. If you are unsure which age group to register for, please contact us at support@karorifootball.co.nz.

Please note there will be no training the week of the 16 - 22 February due to Swifts allocation sessions
Please arrive 15 minutes before your session.

ELIGIBILITY
Who can participate?

All players are welcome, regardless of their previous club, school, or experience level.

Whether you're trying football for the first time or have prior experience, you're welcome!
Requirements:

No prior participation in the Swifts Talent Centre or Waterside Karori AFC teams is necessary.
WHAT TO BRING
We encourage all players to bring the following items for your training session;
- Swifts training kit or appropriate clothing
- Football boots
- Shinpads
- Water bottle
- Medical supplies
Optional for summer programmes:
Purchase Swifts training kit at Inter Football
Note that Swifts training gear is mandatory for the winter training programmes.
PARENT NOTES
Thank you for your support with the Swifts Talent Centre programme. Here are a few items to be aware of
Parking
Please take extra care when entering and exiting Terawhiti Turf car park, the transition between grades has a high volume of people coming and going.
Spectating
We ask kindly for spectators to remain off the turf during the training session and stand on the outside of the fencing.
Support
To ensure a focused training environment, we kindly ask parents to allow the coaches to coach and refrain from distracting your child and other participants.
PRICE
One training session per week for the term:
U10-13: $75
Two training sessions per week for the term:
U10-13: $150
Current prices are for Term 1 in 2026.
