Football in Schools

Football in Schools is about growing football in our region, exposing more kids to the game, and assisting with the delivery of high quality physical education sessions as part of school curriculum.

The programme is delivered by Waterside Karori, as part of the KiwiSport 5+ a Day Football in Schools curriculum developed by New Zealand Football.  See www.nzfootball.co.nz/5-a-day-football-in-schools/ for more information about the curriculum.

The structure of the programme

Sessions are usually delivered one class at a time, for between 30 and 45 minutes per session, once a week, and during class time.

We are able to tailor programmes for each school's individual requirements:

  • which year groups and classes will participate?

  • what dates and times will sessions run?

  • how long will each session run?

  • how many sessions/weeks per class?

Waterside Karori coaches then plan and deliver the sessions at your school.

Get in touch if you or your school is interested!

Schools are invited to get in touch with us at support@karorifootball.co.nz for more details, and we can discuss how we could work together to deliver Football in Schools at your school.
